Our First Macramé Workshop: An Afternoon of Art and Connection with Nature!

On the 25th of April 2024 holiday, we had the pleasure of holding our long-awaited macramé workshop ! It was an afternoon full of creativity, relaxation and, of course, lots of fun, at the Selection Garden space, in Vila Nova de Gaia, a special place that made all the difference in the peaceful environment we wanted to provide.

The event started at 2:30 pm, with everyone ready to learn or perfect their macramé technique. Our instructor, Flora, known for her macramé work at @nuqi.macrame, brought the perfect energy to guide participants through this universe of knots and patterns.

What have we learned?
During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn basic and advanced macramé techniques, explore different types of knots and patterns, and learn about the various types of yarn available. The experience was hands-on and everyone left with their own plant hanger, made with great care and creativity!

  

A touch of well-being: Yoga and coexistence
After the learning session, we couldn't forget to relax! We had a 45-minute yoga class, ideal for calming the mind and reconnecting body and spirit after so much concentration on crafts.

The afternoon was also a space for socializing and sharing among the participants. It was incredible to see how macramé, more than just an art, is a way of bringing people together and creating memories. And, of course, there was no shortage of smiles and good conversations!

A final surprise
To end on a high note, everyone was surprised with a special treat: a Navita Mystery Box, with various types of wires so they could replicate another plant stand at home, a special discount code to use in our online store, a certificate of participation and a souvenir photo in physical format to keep as a memento.

An unforgettable afternoon
The Selection Garden, surrounded by nature, was the perfect setting for this creative and relaxing afternoon. The combination of the outdoors and macramé was undoubtedly therapeutic for all of us.
