How to wash a handmade piece made of cotton thread?
Partilhar
According to some experiences and tests with our cotton yarn, the best solution is to wash the pieces by hand, by immersing them in a solution of water and neutral soap, without rubbing.
Squeeze to remove excess water and dirt and rinse under running water.
Drying should be done outdoors, in the shade to avoid the risk of staining.
Something you should always take into consideration is that a piece made from cotton yarn may tend to shrink a little after being in contact with water, a normal consequence of the natural fiber itself when in contact with water.
I just want to clean a small stain on the garment. How do I do it?
In this case, the most recommended way is to gently brush the dirty part(s) for a few minutes with a soft-bristled brush and neutral soap. After brushing, put the item in the washing machine on the shortest cycle, at a cold temperature. Once finished, the item may be slightly deformed. Return it to its original shape by hand and place it in the shade to dry, thus avoiding the risk of stains in the sun.
